Description
The Team 18 is our 5,000W RMS 18″ subwoofer for street, daily, SQL and SPL builds. Every part of it was designed in-house: an 11″ wide triple-stack Y35 motor weighing around 650 oz, a smooth extended bumped backplate that makes room for a 75 mm winding on the 4″ 8-layer American-made PE coil, and a multi-layer progressive suspension that keeps the moving assembly aligned at extreme excursion.
Pole venting takes pressure off the dust cap at high excursion, and perimeter rear coil cooling plus a ventilated basket pull heat out of the gap, which raises real power handling and lowers power compression. The result is a driver that is efficient on music, has serious daily excursion, and takes 20,000W burps.

Recommended enclosure
Sealed: 3.5 cu ft (SQ use only). Ported: 5.0–6.0 cu ft, tuned to 32 Hz. 4th and 6th order friendly. These sizes are for rated power. If you compete or run over rated power, work with your box designer, or run the numbers in our box calculator.
Every EM Audio subwoofer is hand built to order in North Carolina. Custom orders take a minimum of 15 business days to build and are final sale. Custom powder-coat frame and dustcap colors, a stiffer spider pack, direct 8 ga. OFC leads and custom dustcap logo text are available as options above. Real carbon fiber dust caps are in Dust Caps. Recone kits are available for every model we make, so a blown sub is a rebuild, not a replacement.
