Description
The EM 1k 8 is a true 8″ subwoofer, not a midbass with a big rating. A 190 oz Y35 triple-stack motor with cross-vent pole and channel cooling drives a 2.5″ 4-layer aluminum flat-wound American-made coil, so it takes 1,000W RMS all day and 4,000W on burps. A double-layer 6.5″ × 2.5″ linear spider pack and a big roll surround with red stitching keep it controlled, and the pressed pulp cone keeps it quick. It is one of the few 8s on the market that is hand built in house.
